IOA GOLF CLASSIC JUNIOR QUALIFIER

Welcome to the 2018 LPGA Symetra Tour IOA Golf Classic Junior Qualifier presented by Insurance Office of America. We are excited to bring this new opportunity to the members of the PKBGT to experience world class competition on the LPGA Symetra Tour! The Challenge champion will receive a sponsor exemption into the IOA Golf Classic on September 28-30, 2018 at Alaqua Country Club.

The Junior Qualifier will consist of a 36-hole qualifier on Saturday-Sunday, September 8-9, 2018 operated by the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls' Golf Tour. The champion of this qualifier will receive the sponsor exemption* (qualifying player must have a USGA handicap index of 3.7 or better to be granted the exemption). Players will be able pre-qualify for the Junior Qualifier either thru performance on the PKBGT, in select events, or in a standalone Pre-Qualifier.

Junior Challenge Symetra Tour Qualifier Criteria:

• EVENT DATE: Saturday-Sunday, Septermber 8-9, 2018


• PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:
  • Players may apply to participate here by August 1, 2018
  
  
  • Players may automatically qualify for admission from one of the options listed below. If the field has more than 45 applicants, a pre-qualifier will be held in late August to fill the select the remaining entries
  
  
  • Player must have a verifiable USGA handicap index of 3.7 or better to participate in the Junior Qualifier. This is the required score to accept the LPGA Symetra Tour exemption.
  
  
• QUALIFIER FIELD:

Up to 45 players will qualify for the Junior Qualifier and will include the following participants:

• Category 1: Players in the Top 30 of the PKBGT Performance Index


• Category 2: Champion of the PKBGT Central Florida One-Day Series Prep Series Order of Merit Points Race


• Category 3: 2 sponsor exemptions


• Category 4: Top finishers in select partner junior events:
  
  
  • June 27-29 - Florida Golf Association Junior Girls - 16-18 Division - Top 3 Finishers
  • June 27-29 - Florida Golf Association Junior Girls - 13-15 Division - Top 3 Finishers
  • July 28-29 - Central FL Junior Golf Tour Junior Citrus Open - 13-18 Champion
  • August 25-26 - Premier Junior Golf Tour @ Champions Gate - Girls Champion
  • Additional Events TBA


• Category 5: 18-hole Pre-Qualification event in late August (if necessary)


• AWARDS & EXEMPTION:
• Awards will be presented to the Top 5 players


• The event champion will qualify for the LPGA Symetra Tour's IOA Golf Classic* (qualifying player must have a USGA handicap index of 3.7 or better to be granted the exemption)


• The event champion will qualify PKBGT Invitational


• The event champion and runner-up will qualify PKBGT Tournament of Champions
