PKBGT DISCOVERY INVITATIONAL

Welcome to the 2018 PKBGT Discovery Invitational, the Inaugural Championship Event for PKBGT Discovery Series players! We are excited to launch this event to bring together players 8 to 12 from across the PKBGT in this exciting event featuring great golf and world class facilities. The Championship will be hosted at the Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina the weekend of November 17-18, 2018

The event will feature two levels of play in the PKBGT Discovery Series, a Championship Division playing 36-holes (18 each day) from approximately 4,500 yards and a Sub-junior Division playing 18-holes (9 holes each day) from approximately 1,800 yards. Registration is first come, first serve for players who were invited. Invitations were sent based on participation with the PKBGT and the Discovery Series.

PALMETTO DUNES - ARTHUR HILLS COURSE: The Arthur Hills golf course at Palmetto Dunes blends the topographic beauty of the Lowcountry with the inherent challenges of the game to produce a unique golfing experience in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The picture-perfect setting of this mature course stands apart as a time-honored favorite with golfers and attracts dozens of species of birds as well as alligators and deer. In addition, the course is home to one of the Lowcountry's most historic lighthouses, the Hilton Head Range Light Station, which guided ships into Port Royal Sound beginning in the late 1800's.

PKBGT Discovery Invitational:

• EVENT DATE: Saturday-Sunday, November 17-18, 2018


• PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:
  • Invitations were sent to all players who have registered/participated in the PKBGT Discovery Series on August 1st
  
  
  • Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis for those invited to participate
  
  
• DIVISIONS OF PLAY:
  • CHAMPIONSHIP: 36-hole division, 18 holes each day, for players with suggested scoring under 45 in PKBGT Discovery events.
  
  
  • SUB-JUNIOR: 18-hole division, 9 holes each day, for players who have participated in the PKBGT Discovery events.
  
  
• AWARDS & EXEMPTION:
• Awards will be presented to the Top 5 players in each division


• Championship Division will be ranked by the PKBGT Performance Index and Junior Golf Scoreboard
