The Competition

STROKE PLAY COMPETITION

> Two 18-hole rounds played in a team format, 5 players playing, top 4 scores in each round count to the team score.
> Nationally ranked 36-hole stroke play tournament for individual rankings.
> The 8 teams with the lowest team score will advance to a compass draw championship bracket.
> The bottom 4 teams will play in a round robin consolation bracket.

TEAM MATCH PLAY COMPETITION

> Each team match will include 5 singles match play matches.
> Pairing order for each team match play match will be determined by the individual results from the stroke play competition.
> Each teams stroke play medalist will play in the anchor match.
> Awards will be presented to the stroke play medalist, Championship division champion and runner-up and the consolation bracket champion.

Match Play Brackets

The Participants

12 Teams of 5 girls each will compete at the 2026 PKBGT Team Cup. Teams will be selected to represent different states/regions of the country. Players will qualify for each team based on criteria determined by the tournament committee.

> The tournament committee will form teams to represent different regions and facets across the PKBGT. Criteria will include a players national ranking profile and/or performances at select PKBGT events.
> The tournament committee has extended invitations for up to 8 teams from the U.S. National Development State Junior Team program. Currently operating 16 State Teams across the country, and growing to 30 by the end of 2026, the PKBGT Team Cup will provide State Junior Teams the chance to compete in a team environment.

How to Qualify for the PKBGT Team Cup

Teams will be selected to represent different states/regions of the country, with select U.S. National Development State Junior Team programs participating.

The remaining teams will be created by the PKBGT. These players are selected by the tournament committee, including but not solely on their national ranking profile, including PKBGT Performance Index and Junior Golf Scoreboard national ranking.

Event Operator: Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT) is an initiative of the non-profit foundation Girls Golf of America, formerly the Triad Youth Golf Foundation. The Foundation will provide financial and logistical support to the Tour and work with community and regional leaders to promote girls golf. Our mission is to create more effective, competitive playing opportunities for girls through the PKBGT Progression Pathway.

The PKBGT, by utilizing innovative, yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focuses on developing the tournament experience at the player's pace. As the only LPGA Foundation Approved Tour, and working in partnership with LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, we aim to grow this mission across the country to ensure no junior girl golfer has to play in a boys tournament with a girls field.

PKBGT Alumni currently compete at the highest levels, including current LPGA Tour players Gina Kim, Jennifer Chang, Lauren Coughlin, Melanie Green & Riley Smyth. Additionally, over 30 alumna are competing on the LPGA Epson Tour, the proving ground for those looking to make the LPGA. In the first 19 years of the tour, over 2,000 PKBGT members have gone on to play women's collegiate golf. Through our RecruitPKB initiative, the PKBGT strives to create exposure and help girls find the right fit for their collegiate experience.
