EVENT PREVIEW

Greensboro, NC – Bryan Park GC will host the 8th Annual Precision Golf Junior Girls Championships on Thursday and Friday August 12 & 13th.

The event will be the last major of the year for the members of the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour determining the official order of merit rankings for the 2010 season.

Bryan Park GC

Nowhere is the spectacular beauty of Bryan Park more evident than on the golf courses.  In fact, both courses were recently awarded the prestigious 4-Star ranking in Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play Guide. Whatever your game, be prepared for a great golfing experience whether you’re teeing it up on the original Players Course or the newer, more challenging Champions Course which was runner-up for the Golf Digest’s Best New Course in America Award in 1990 and recently hosted the 2010 USGA Public Links Championships.

Official 2010 PKB Order of Merit

Rankings on the official 2010 order of merit will determine player invitational status for the PKB Fall Invitational this year at Stoneycreek Golf Club in November.

The top 55 players in the Bell division and top 5 Futures Division players on the 2010 Order of Merit will be given initial invitations to compete in the year ending finale!

Aside from great top – level competition from the girls of the PKB Tour, the girl’s championship is open to “any girl” golfer age 5 to 17 that would like to give tournament golf a try. We encourage all levels of female golfers who are interested in “playing golf” to sign up for this great event.

Level 2 Ages 10 – 11 1,900 yards 9 holes Two days

Tournament Sponsor: Robert Linville’s Precision Golf School

The main sponsor of the event and of the PKB tour is Robert Linville’s Precision Golf School located at Bur – mil and Bryan Park in Greensboro, NC.

Precision Golf School has been an influential partner in the PKB Girls Golf Tour and its staff has continued to develop golfing skills and competitive opportunities for girls since 2001.

The golf schools focus is to provide golfers with information and guidance that allows them to have more enjoyment playing golf. Their goal is to help golfers reach their goals.

“ We have worked with players of all levels, from PGA Tour Winners to the beginner making his/her first swing. We have helped hundreds of junior golfers and have guided 6 High School State champions, states Robert Linville. I really enjoy watching the girls’ progress in their golfing journey and it comes as a great joy to know the game can increase their confidence in life and open up opportunities for their future including collegiate opportunities.”
