BELL DIVISION CHAMPION LORI BETH ADAMS

The 7th Annual Precision Golf Junior Girls’ Championships is in the books and 2 new champions have been crowned.  The 2-day event at Bryan Park featured 58 junior girls, ages 12 – 18, from throughout the region.

In the BELL Division, first round co-leader Lori Beth Adams (Burlington, NC) claimed the title with a 72,74-146 to claim a three shot lead over 2009 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour Order of Merit Champion Katherine Perry (Cary, NC) 75,74-149.  Lori Beth claims her first Bell Division title following  three previous wins in the Futures Division (’03, ’04 & ’05).  Two players tied for third, Kristi Ingram (Winston-Salem, NC)  72 ,81-153 and Andrea Robbins (Liberty, NC)  74,79-153.

In the FUTURES Division, Ashley Osiecki  ( New Bern, NC )  78 , 80 – 158 claimed the title in a scorecard play-off due to darkness.  This is Ashley’s first PGS Jr Championship.  Isabella Rusher  ( Salisbury, NC )  75 , 83 – 158
placed 2nd and Allyson Markiewicz  ( Charlotte, NC )  79 , 83 – 162 placed third.

The Precision Golf Junior Boys’ Championships will be played October 24-25, 2009 at Bryan Park.
