PKBGT PERFORMANCE INDEX

Performance Index

The official player ranking system of the PKB Girls' Golf Tour. Player's standing on the Performance Index will be based on a combination of:

Average Scoring Differential (your score in a round minus the course rating) in all events played during the last 12 month period.
PKB Points Earned through participation in all events on the tour in the last 12 months. Total points awarded to each player per event will be based on division played, number of participants and multiplier of tournament used for Order of Merit calculations.
Players will earn a "Win Bonus" for winning a PKBGT event in any division series. Bell Division wins are ranked the highest, followed by Prep Series, then Futures, with PKBGT Championship events earning additional bonuses.

Players must complete 4 sanctioned rounds on the PKBGT to be eligible for a Index ranking. All other players will be given a Provisional ranking until they reach the minimum 4 rounds played. Only official Index rankings will be used in calculations for awards, rankings, etc...

NATIONAL SERIES

Player's standing on the Order of Merit will be based on the TOP 5 points earning events for each player during the series. Points in an event will be awarded based on the number of players in the field, with the 1st place finisher getting a 5 point bonus. Events will be weighted based on historical strength and size of field in addition to classification of tournament.

Top finishers in each series will earn invitations to the PKBGT Invitational or the PKBGT Regional Invitational. Regional Order of Merit champions will earn an exemption into the Linville Cup. Event champions will qualify for the PKBGT Tournament of Champions.

PKBGT INVITATIONALS QUALFYING CRITERIA

PKBGT Championship's are open events and use "Priority Based Entry". Each event will have a maximum number of participants for each division and the field be filled with strongest field possible utilizing tour ranking, standing and national ranking as a guide. Players inside the Top-30 on PKBGT Performance Index will be guaranteed entry at the time of registration provided the field is not full. The remaining spots will be filled at the event deadline by the tournament committee based on Tour Standing & national ranking. If more players have registered than spots are available, a waiting list will be kept. Full refunds will be provided for any player who does not get into the field.

PKBGT INVITATIONAL QUALIFICATION

The PKBGT Invitational is the premier event of the PKBGT. Players may qualify through various avenues including finishes in the final PKBGT Order of Merit Lists, PKBGT Championship winners, State Golf Assoscation Champions and more. Non-PKBGT members may submit an application to participate. In addition, multiple Fall Qualifiers will be held to earn a spot in the field.

The Tournament of Champions is an invitation only, PKBGT Championship event that features top performers from the current seasons Peggy Kirk Bell Girl's Golf Tour. Players may earn entry thru any tour event during the season. Their are multiple classifications of entry based on your result.
