Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour hosts its largest one day event of the year at Tanglewood Park Golf Club Cranford takes Tanglewood Open by winning a 5-hole playoff. Clemmons, NC – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour hosted its largest one day event of the year at Tanglewood Park Golf Club. The event was held on the Champions course, which has hosted several Champions PGA Tour events. The 42 player field endured through 100 degree temperatures on this challenging course. Morgan Cranford of Greensboro took home her first PKB Tour title, winning a 5-hole playoff over Aislynn Merling of York, PA, after posting a score of 81. The 5-hole playoff ended when Cranford 2 putted for 5 to take home the victory. Cranford stated after her win, “Going into the playoff I wanted to make sure I kept my focus even though it was really hot. It wasn’t the prettiest win in the playoff, but I’m excited to win my first PKB title.” Following Cranford and Merling were Libby Crawford of Chapin, SC, Madison Kenedy of Salisbury, NC, and Caitlyn Brake of Mocksville, NC at 84. The Futures Division saw a solid round of 77 by Isabella Rusher of Salisbury, NC. Rusher took home medalist honors by 2 shots over Ashlii Thompson of Browns Summit, NC at 79. Rounding up the top 5 were Sarah Spicer of Bahama, NC at 80, Megan Munroe of Reaeford, NC at 81, and Jessica Spicer of Bahama, NC at 83.
