Munroe wins LAST CHANCE Invitational Qualifier

On Saturday, November 3, the 2012 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the LAST CHANCE Invitational Qualifier @ Legacy Golf Links. Legacy Golf Links proved a challenging course for this one-day event. The event featured a field of 25 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 400 members and 94 alumni in the collegiate ranks.

Megan Munroe (Raeford, NC 2016) carded five over par with a score of 77 to place first. Rhea Bhatia (Wake Forest, NC 2016) carded eight over par with a score of 80 to place second. Savannah Thompson (West End, NC 2014) carded eight over par with a score of 80 to place third. Madison Elliott (Little River, SC 2017) carded eight over par with a score of 80 to place fourth. Moon Cheong (Charlotte, NC 2017) carded 11 over par with a score of 83 to place fifth. Because Munroe already had an exemption into the Invitational, Bhatia, Thompson, Elliott, and Cheong received an automatic invitation to PKBGT Invitational @ Grandover Resort (East Course) in November.

PKBGT returns Saturday-Monday, November 10-12 with the PKBGT INVITATIONAL @ Grandover Resort (East Course) in Greensboro, NC. The PKBGT INVITATIONAL is the conclusion of the 2012 season and brings together players from across the Carolinas, Indiana, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia.
