Inside the Field: 2022 PKBGT/NB3 National Championship

We are two weeks away from the 2022 PKBGT/NB3 National Championship at Koasati Pines! Over the last six months, 23 regional qualifying events have been held across the United States to complete the field of 136 of the best junior players in the country and across the world! 43 PKBGT members have advanced to the National Championship and will be playing on the Golf Channel!

Inside the Field: 16-18 Division

40 players will be teeing it up in the 16-18 age group at Coushatta Casino Resort! 13 PKBGT members are competing in this division highlighted by the 182nd ranked junior in the country, Claire Lu (Edison, NJ 2024). Claire qualified for the National Championship by finishing 2nd at the New Jersey Regional with two rounds of even par. Karsyn Roberts (Pikeville, NC 2024) is coming off a strong 2022 PKB season as she heads to Lousiana. Karsyn won the Coastal Carolina Classic and had seven other top-10’s in 2022. Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, VA 2023) will also be teeing it up on the Golf Channel! After winning the PKBGT Masters, Paris qualified at the North Carolina Regional by winning the 16-18 division.

Inside the Field: 14-15 Division

The 14-15 division is made up of 39 players, 14 of which are PKBGT members! The highest ranked player in this age group is Avery McCrery (Wilmington, DE 2025). Avery is the 110th junior in the country and is an eight time winner on the PKBGT! Kanchana Duangsam (Haymarket, VA 2026) is another top 200 ranked player in this division! Kanchana qualified by winning the Virginia Regional and has won four times on the PKBGT. Bridget Wilkie (Bluffton, SC 2024) qualified at the last-chance North Carolina Regional to join the field. Bridget has finished in the top-5 five times on the PKBGT including a T2 finish at the 2022 PKBGT Tour Championship at Pine Needles.

Inside the Field: 12-13 Division

30 players will be heading to Louisiana to play in the 12-13 division. 9 PKBGT members advanced to the National Championship to compete at Koasati Pines. Aphrodite Deng (Short Hills, NJ 2028) qualified by finishing second at the New York Regional a week after winning the Delaware Valley WGAP Girls at Penn Oaks GC! By winning the Mississippi Regional, Vincenza Papa (Foster, RI 2026) earned her spot in the National Championship! Vincenza has 9 top-5 finishes on the PKBGT including a win at the 2021 Commonwealth Classic.

Inside the Field: 10-11 Division

Rounding out the field for the PKBGT/NB3 National Championship are the 24 girls teeing it up in the 10-11 division including seven PKBGT members. Kylie Chung (Suwanee, GA 2029) qualified at the last chance North Carolina Regional by winning the 10-11 age group. Kylie has finished in the top-5 in every PKBGT event she has played in and is looking to continue that hot streak in Louisiana! Rose Hall (Yorktown, VA 2029) won the Virginia Regional to earn her spot in the field!  She has also finished in the top-5 in all of her PKBGT starts.
