Reston, V.A. — The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour started their 2024 National Series season in style at the Middle Atlantic Girls Classic hosted at Hidden Creek Country Club.
Just like that, the 2024 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour season is underway! 46 players headed to Hidden Creek Country Club for the season kick-off, Middle Atlantic Girls Classic! Bell National and Futures National players battled the weather on Saturday setting up a photo-finish Sunday final round!
Zoe Cusack (Potomac, MD 2026) opened with the round of the weekend, a two-under 70, and held a three shot lead entering the final round. Plenty of spoilers sat within striking distance and Kate Roberts (Phoenixville, PA 2024) took advantage. Carter Bransford (Glen Allen, VA 2026) and Reagan Garnsey (Camden-Wyoming, DE 2025)combined for four front nine birdies on Sunday to catch Cusack and hold the lead. Roberts started the day three off the lead and stood on the tenth tee two strokes behind Bransford and Garnsey. From there, Roberts was flawless. She parred holes 10-17 and headed to the final hole tied for the lead. On 18, Roberts made birdie to grab the solo lead and win the season opener.
