Update: RocketTour Players Championship

Fayetteville, GA The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour headed to Fayetteville, GA for the opening round of the RocketTour Players Championship at Whitewater Creek Country Club. 

 

Bell National

Hailey Han (Duluth, GA 2025) made four birdies on her way to shooting the low round of the day, a 74 (+2). Han holds a one shot lead heading into the final round with eight more players within six strokes of her lead. Her closest opponent is GaEun Athena Yoo (Alpharetta, GA 2025). Yoo made 15 pars during her round to shoot 75 (+3). Kallyn Black (Greensboro, GA 2026) is also within striking distance after playing her final nine in just one over par. She is only two back. Katie Vu (Fairfax Station, VA 2024) is looking to go low on Sunday and catch Han. After her 78 (+6), she is just four behind. Fourteen players are within eight strokes of the lead and they’ll all be aiming to catch Han tomorrow.

Prep Preview

Kate Roberts (Phoenixville, PA 2024) got off to a hot start on Saturday morning birdieing three of her first eight holes. From there she was able to open up a two stroke lead in the Prep Preview division. Tied for second are Cadence Nance (Sharpsburg, GA 2026) and Akiera Sanchez (Goose Creek, SC 2025). The highlight of Sanchez’s round was a birdie on the par-5 12th. Nance played a very consistent round playing both nine’s in 41 for a round one score of 82 (+10). Malerie Lague (Huntersville, NC 2025) sits in solo fourth after round one. Lague got off to a hot start playing her first six holes in even par highlighted by a birdie on the par-5 12th (her third hole of the day). Similar to the Bell National leaderboard, there are plenty within striking distance entering moving day. Seven players are within five of the lead setting up what should be an exciting final round!

Futures National

One of the youngest players in the field, Madison Woodrum (Statesboro, GA 2029), holds a two stroke lead entering the final round. Woodrum impressed on Saturday making two birdies on her way to an opening 80 (+8). The closest player to Woodrum is Calley Holbert (Knoxville, TN 2025) who closed in 38 (+2) to position herself to make a Sunday charge. Alyssa Zhang (Allison Park, PA 2028) made three birdies on her back nine and is in solo third, three off the lead. Emma Marshall (Bremen, GA 2025) is looking to come from behind on Sunday to catch Woodrum. Marshall birdied he par-5 12th hole on Saturday and is just four behind Woodrum.

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls.
