On Saturday, August 25, the\u00a0<\/span>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0in partnership with the <\/span>WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation<\/a>\u00a0plays the \u00a0<\/span>Southeast Series Finale<\/a>\u00a0event at <\/span>The GC at Wescott Plantation<\/a>\u00a0in North Charleston, SC.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SC One-Day Series included 8 One-Day tournaments in the South Carolina region,\"\"\u00a0concluding this weekend with a two-day Series Finale. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression<\/a> allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage\/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.<\/p>\n

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to \u201cget in to the swing of things\u201d playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course.\u00a0The Southeast Series Finale at The GC at Wescott Plantation features a field of 20 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Leading the Prep Division after the first round is Sarah Boteler (Greenville, SC 2021) with a round 1 score of 1-over par, 73. There is currently a two way tie for 2nd place. Maddie Frank (Hilton Head Island, SC 2020) and Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2022) both finished the day with a score of 77. There is a two-way tie for 4th place. Madilyn Newman (Knoxville, TN 2021) and Chloe Holder (Williamston, SC 2021) both finished the day with a score of 78.<\/p>\n

Leading the Futures Division after round 1 is Izzy Stone (Beaufort, SC 2020) with a score of, 77. Currently in 2nd place with a round 1 score of\u00a0 81 is Autumn Carey (Manning, SC 2022). In third place is Sarah Fox (Lakeland, FL 2021) with a score of 83. Currently in fourth place is Allison Lebo (North Augusta, SC 2022) with a score of 84.<\/p>\n

Everyone looks to continue their success at round 2 of the Southeast Finale. We look forward to a great 2nd round!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 500 members in 2016 and \u00a0over 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
