On Saturday, August 4th, 2018 the\u00a0<\/span>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> played the second round of the\u00a0Tour Championship<\/a>\u00a0at <\/span>Salem Glen Golf Club\u00a0in Clemmons, North Carolina. The Tour Championship is the 10th and final Championship event of the 2018 season and wraps up the 2018 national events schedule. The event features a field of 54 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour. They will tackle the course at 6,052 yards in the Bell National Division and 5,289 yards in the Futures National Division.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Leading the Bell National Division after the second round is Danielle Suh (Herndon, VA 2020) after posting 2 rounds of 71-73 (E). Suh currently leads by 4 strokes over Grace Jones (Hayesville, NC 2020) who eagled her final hole of the day to shoot an even par round of 72. In a tie for third sits Alyssa Cong (Germantown, MD 2020) and Halynn Lee (Cary, NC 2021) at +5.\u00a0 Julie Shin (Brambleton, VA 2022) and Isabel Bae (Bristow, VA 2021) both finished the day with a score of 79 to sit in a tie for 5th place (+7).<\/p>\n

Averi Cline (Suwanee, GA 2022) holds her lead in the Futures Division after posting an even par round of 72 to sit at one under par for the tournament. Four shots back in a tie for 2nd place is Annabelle Millard (St George, UT 2022) and Reagan Southerland (Atlanta, GA 2023). Annabelle posted consistent rounds of 73 and 74 to sit in 2nd and Reagan followed up her even par round with a 75 to stay in contention. In a tie for 4th place sits Liza Lapeyre (New Orleans, LA 2022) and Megan Morris (Cary, NC 2021) who currently sit at +6.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

With Tour Championship being the culmination of the 2018 PKBGT National Season, the Order of Merit winners are decided at the conclusion of tomorrow’s final round. In the Bell Division, 6-time PKBGT Champion Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) has a considerable lead after winning 3 major championships in 2018. The tournament brings together players from 9 different states: Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah and Virginia.
