On Saturday, August 4th, the\u00a0<\/span>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0in partnership with the <\/span>WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation<\/a>\u00a0played the \u00a0<\/span>South Carolina One-Day Series<\/a>\u00a0event at <\/span>The Country Club Of Spartanburg<\/a>\u00a0in Spartanburg, SC.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SC One-Day Series will include 8 One-Day tournaments in the South Carolina region,\"\"concluding with a two-day Series Finale at the end of the season. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression<\/a> allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage\/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.<\/p>\n

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to \u201cget in to the swing of things\u201d playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course.\u00a0The South Carolina One-Day Series event at CC of Spartanburg features a field of 29 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Champion of the Prep Series is Ella Kue (Kings Mountain, NC 2023) with a score of 1-under par, \u00a071. Finishing runner-up with a score of 78 is Sydney Roberts (Chesnee, SC 2022). Caitlyn Cash (Chesnee, SC 2020) finished in 3rd place with a score of 83. Ashley Looper (Marietta, SC 2019) finished in 4th place with a score of 84.<\/p>\n

The Champion of the Futures Series is Madison Lynn Dixon (Inman, SC 2023) who fired a round 70 (-2). Finishing runner-up with a score of 78 is Nicole Nash (Charlotte, NC 2023). Allison Lebo (North Augusta, SC 2022) and Abby Franks (Roebuck, SC 2023) finished in a tie for 3rd place with a score of 80.<\/p>\n

The PKBGT South Carolina One-Day Series is back in action Saturday, August 11 for the SC One-Day Series at Orangeburg CC. There is still time to register! We look forward to a great event!<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
