Salisbury, home of the <a href=\"http:\/\/gocatawbaindians.com\/sport.asp?sportID=9\">Catawba College<\/a> women&#8217;s golf team, is a tricky course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field 6 alumni players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\/images\/courses\/salisbury.gif\" alt=\"\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"20\" vspace=\"20\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 2017 Champions of the Collegiate Four-Ball at Country Club of Salisbury were Kate Collum (Davidson, NC 2014) and Crockett Floyd (Bogart, GA 2015) of Samford University in Birmingham, AL. They posted a score of 71-70-141 to win the event by 6 strokes. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 2018 Collegiate Series field features 6 PKBGT Alumni: Alexandria Bare (UNC Pembroke), Abby Bolt (Appalachian State), Casey Burroughs (UNC Pembroke), Patricia Thompson (Appalachian State), Maya White (Western Carolina) and Cameron Wood (Western Carolina).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0We look forward to a great tournament!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The PKB Collegiate Series is a summer division for girls playing in or recently graduated from college golf. Players must be a current collegiate golfer or a recent graduate 25 years of age or younger. The yardages will be played between 5,800 and 6,200 yards. The next PKB Collegiate event is the PKBGT Collegiate Amateur at Salem Glen Golf &amp; CC in Clemmons, NC on August 4-5, 2018. There is still time to register!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
