On Saturday, May 19, the 2018\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> played the Central Florida One-Day Series at Eagle Creek GC<\/a>. \u00a0The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour<\/a> (PKBGT) is excited to be working in partnership with Insurance Office of America <\/a>as the presenting sponsor of a new developmental series for junior girl golfers in Central Florida.<\/p>\n

The new series is an addition to the 35 developmental tournaments PKBGT runs across the east coast. These events offer an innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression<\/a> allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage\/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

The Champion of the Prep Series was Gabrielle Perlstein (Lake Mary, FL 2020) with a score of 85 for her third victory of the 2018 series. Newcomer Skai Guity (Orlando, FL 2019) finished runner-up with a score of 101.<\/p>\n

The Champion of the Futures Series was Darby Nuxol (Longwood, FL 2021) with a score of 81. Nuxol and Sarah Fox l (Lakeland, FL 2021) had a 2 way scorecard playoff for the first place position due to weather conditions. Finishing in 3rd place just one shot back with a score of 82 was Taylor Ellis (Belle Isle, FL 2021). Abigail Fernandez (Windermere, FL 2023) finished in 4th place with a score of 84.<\/p>\n

The Champion of the Discovery Series was Darby Hancock (Sorrento, FL 2025) with a score of 42. This marks Darby’s 2nd win of the series. Bretton Mackiewicz (Longwood, FL 2025) finished runner-up with a score of 46. Finishing in three way tie for 3rd place with a score of 48 was Riley Fletcher (Winter Springs, FL 2025), Madison Dusenbury (Deland, FL 2028) and Adriana Pagan (Oviedo, FL 2026). **Pagan wins scorecard playoff for third.<\/p>\n

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The inaugural Central Florida One-Day Series event features a field of 18 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour.<\/p>\n

The PKBGT Central Florida Series is back in action with the CF One-Day Series at Interlachen Country Club on June 2, 2018. There is still time to register!<\/p>\n

The PKBGT Central Florida One-Day Series debuts Saturday, March 31st<\/sup> at Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, FL and ends Saturday, June 9th at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, FL. The point leaders of the five-day series will be awarded and ranked through the PKBGT Storie Apparel<\/a> Order of Merit.\u00a0In addition, IOA will grant a sponsor\u2019s exemption into the Symetra Tour\u2019s 2018 IOA Golf Classic<\/a> to one PKBGT member. That event will be contested September 28-30, 2018 at Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, FL. More details on how members will be able to qualify will be released this spring.<\/p>\n
