\"\" On April 7-8, 2018 the\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> plays the PKBGT MASTERS<\/a>\u00a0presented by Aunt Ruby’s Peanuts<\/a> at Greenville Country Club in Greenville, NC. Greenville Country Club, home of the East Carolina University<\/a> Pirates women’s golf team, is a classic course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field of 84 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour. In 2017, \u00a0Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) claimed the title by 2 strokes with a round 1 score of 1-under par, 71, and a round 2 score of 77 with a two day total of 148.\u00a0\u00a0This year, the Bell Series will play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The Prep Preview and Futures Divisions will play 18 holes both days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bell Series field features a full field of 36 golfers, highlighted by 6 of the top-20 players on the PKBGT Performance Index, including:\u00a0 Women’s Health Classic Jr Challenge Champion Kayla Smith (Burlington, NC 2019) ranked 2nd<\/span>, Emily Hawkins (Lexington, NC 2018) ranked 6th, Kendall Turner (Chesapeake, VA 2019) ranked 13th, Skylar Sload (Ashburn, VA 2018) ranked 17th and Madison Isaacson (Greensboro, NC 2018) ranked 18th. Other standout players in the field include: Anna McDonald (Hickory, NC 2019), Lauren Freyvogel (Gibsonia, PA 2019) and Hailey Freedman (Chapel Hill, NC 2018).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prep Preview Series features a field of 24 girls, highlighted five of the top-10 \u00a0players on the Prep Preview Order of Merit, including: Hannah Jonely (Ashburn, VA 2020) ranked 2nd, Trinity Muthomi (Kernersville, NC 2022) ranked 3rd, Grace Holcomb (Wilmington, NC 2021) ranked 6th, Halynn Lee (Cary, NC 2021) ranked T-9th and Layla Meric (Wesley Chapel, NC 2021) ranked T-9th. Additional players to watch include Grayson Warren (Washington, NC 2021) and Erin Singleton (Apex, NC 2020).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Futures Series field features 24 golfers, highlighted by five of the top-25 players on the 2018 Futures PKBGT Order of Merit list, including: Macy Pate (Boone, NC 2023) ranked 2nd, Megan Morris (Cary, NC 2021) ranked 11th, Kyleigh Harnsberger (Advance, NC 2021) ranked 17th, Toni Blackwell (Fayetteville, NC 2020) ranked 23rd and Liza Lapeyre (New Orleans, LA 2022) ranked 25th.<\/span><\/p>\n

The PKBGT MASTERS at Greenville Country Club brings together players from Delaware, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. It should be a great tournament! Who will be golden?<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 500 members in 2016 and \u00a0over 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
