The PKBGT returned to action on January 27-28, 2018 with the PKB Foundation Classic at The Country Club of North Carolina<\/a>. \"Pine<\/a>The event features 74 players of the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the largest \u201cgirls-only\u201d junior golf tour in the country. They will tackle the course at 5,756 yards in the Bell National Series and 5,114 yards in the Futures National Series. The event was shortened to 27 holes due to unplayable course conditions in the final round.<\/p>\n

The PKB Foundation Classic is the second tournament of the Women’s Health Classic Junior Challenge presented by the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation<\/a>. The Challenge will consist of 7 events between January 20 – March 10, 2018 and be operated by the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour. The first 6 pre-qualifying events will be open to any PKBGT member and will qualify players for the Junior Challenge Qualifier on March 24-25, 2018 at the Links at Stoney Point. The champion of the Junior Challenge Qualifier qualifier will receive the sponsor exemption* (qualifying player must have a USGA handicap index of 3.7 or better to be granted the exemption). The Champion of the Bell National Series was Rory Weinfurther (Midlothian, VA 2020) with a two-day total of 109 (71-38). Just one stroke behind Weinfurther finishing runner-up was Katherine Schuster (Kill Devil Hills, NC 2021) with a two-day total of 110 (77-33). In a tie for third place with a two-day total of 112 were Johnna Parlett (Dunkirk, MD 2019) (74-38) and Nicole Adam (Pinehurst, NC 2020) (77-35). Sophie Membrino (Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 2018) (80-33) and Emelia Pack (Browns Summit, NC 2019) (77-36) finished in a tie for fifth place with a two-day total of 113.<\/p>\n

The Champion of the Futures National Series was Julie Shin (Brambleton, VA 2022) with a two-day total of 111 (75-36). Finishing runner-up was Sydney Yermish (Wynnewood, PA 2023) with a two-day total of 120 (79-41). Finishing in third place was Abby Hunter (Blacksburg, VA 2021) with a two-day total of 121 (82-39).In a tie for fourth place with a two-day total of 122 were Annabelle Millard (Indian Trail, NC 2022) (81-41) and Sarah Shao (Green Brook, NJ 2024) (84-38).<\/p>\n

The PKBGT returns to action February 10-11, 2018 with the third Junior Challenge pre-qualifier, the Orange Whip Classic at The Walker Course at Clemson University!<\/p>\n

This was a pre-qualifier for the\u00a0LPGA Symetra Tour Women’s Health Classic Junior Challenge<\/a>. All players will earn points towards qualification to the Women’s Health Classic Junior Challenge Qualifier, with the ultimate winner of this event qualifying for the LPGA Symetra Tour’s\u00a0Self Regional Women’s Health Classic<\/a>\u00a0in March 2018 at the Links at Stoney Point in Greenwood, South Carolina. \u00a0Learn more about the\u00a0LPGA Symetra Tour Women’s Health Classic Junior Challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
