On Sunday, October 29, 2017 the PKBGT played the Last Chance Invitational Qualifier at Colonial Country Club in Thomasville,\"\" NC. \u00a0There were 36 players from 5 different states (North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and\u00a0Virginia)\u00a0competing in the event to earn an invitation to the 2017 PKBGT Invitational at Grandover Resort on November 11-13, 2017. The Invitational will bring together the top players on the East Coast and the Peggy Kirk Bell Girl’s Golf Tour, the nations largest “girl’s only” golf tour. Players earn their spots through play on the PKBGT or through accomplishments during the year in junior girls’ golf. The PKBGT Invitational will kick-off of the 2018 PKBGT tour season.<\/p>\n

Winning the Last Chance Invitational Qualifier was Jillian Drinkard (Appomattox, VA 2018) with a 6-over par, 77 par. In a tie for second place was Hannah Rose Bruxvoort and Bailee Twiford. Hannah Rose Bruxvoort (Chapel Hill, NC 2018) place second with a score of 78. \u00a0Bailee Twiford (Coinjock, NC 2019) finished in third place also with a 78. Taking fourth place was Erica Boyd (Charlotte, NC 2020) with a score of 79.<\/p>\n

The three players earning an invitation in to the 2017 PKBGT Invitational are:<\/p>\n

  2. Bailee Twiford (Coinjock, NC 2019) – 78<\/li>\n

    The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
