Official field set for the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women\u2019s Health Classic Junior Challenge Qualifier conducted by the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour<\/i><\/h2>\n

Event champion receives sponsor exemption into 2017 Women\u2019s Health Classic, the premier event on the LPGA Symetra Tour, which\u00a0will be played May 11-14 at the Links at Stoney Point.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

GREENWOOD, SC. (March 24, 2017)<\/b> \u2014<\/b> In partnership with the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation, the LPGA Symetra Tour\u2019s Women\u2019s Health Classic and the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour (PKBGT) are pleased to announce the official field<\/a> for the Women\u2019s Health Classic Junior Challenge Qualifier.<\/p>\n

The qualifier, to be contested at the Links at Stoney Point<\/a>\u00a0in Greenwood, S.C., will feature 30 of the top junior girls ages 11-18 from across the East Coast.\u00a0 The Junior Challenge participants earned their spot in the field through a series of six pre-qualification tournaments contested over the last two months. \u00a0The Series featured 152 players from 14 states.<\/p>\n

The champion of this qualifier receives a sponsor exemption into the 2017 Self Regional Women\u2019s Health Classic<\/a> \u2014 the premier event on the LPGA Symetra Tour \u2014\u00a0played May 11-14 at the Links at Stoney Point.\u00a0 The Women’s Health Classic Junior Challenge<\/a>\u00a0represents the first east coast opportunity for a junior player to earn access to an LPGA professional event.<\/p>\n

Previously called the LPGA Futures Tour, the Symetra Tour is the official developmental tour of the LPGA Tour. Known as \u201cthe Road to the LPGA,\u201d the Symetra Tour has graduated a total of 117 women to the LPGA since 1999.<\/p>\n

The first round begins Saturday, April 1 at 11:00 a.m. from the first tee.\u00a0 The final round Sunday will begin at 9:00 a.m.\u00a0 The trophy ceremony will take place at the scoreboard immediately following play around 3:00 p.m.\u00a0 There is no admission for the Qualifier and spectators are welcomed to come out to watch the girls.<\/p>\n
