\"\"At 10am this Sunday morning, it did not look good for the final round of the Tar Heel Classic. \u00a0Steady snow early in the morning threatened to cancel the round, but the weather changed and it turned out to be a great day for golf! \u00a0We can say we experienced all four seasons in one day!<\/p>\n

Winning the Bell Series today in a playoff on the first sudden death hole was Caroline Curtis (Richmond, VA 2019). \u00a0Curtis came back from behind after shooting a fantastic 3-under 69 to tie the leader Caroline Wrigley (Wexford, PA 2019) at a 145 total for 36 holes. \u00a0The title was decided when Curtis lagged a long put close to the hole to secure her par on 18 and a PKBGT victory! \u00a0Placing third was Emily Hawkins (Lexington, VA 2018) with rounds of 72-74-146. \u00a0In fourth was Rebecca DiNunzio (Norfolk, VA 2019) by one stroke with 75-72-147. \u00a0In fifth place was Lauren Freyvogel (Gibsonia, PA 2019) with rounds of 74-75-149.<\/p>\n

The Prep Series Champion this week was Jinny Park (Fairfax, VA 2019) who also came back from a deficit to take the title with rounds of 80-75-155. \u00a0In second place was Katherine Schuster (Kill Devil Hills, NC 2021) with rounds of \u00a078-79-157. \u00a0In third place was Lexanne Halama (Knoxville, TN 2021) with rounds of 77-81-158. \u00a0In fourth place by one stroke was Emilia Pack (Browns Summit, NC 2019) with 82-77-159. \u00a0In fifth place was Grace Jones (Haysville, NC 2020) with rounds of 77-83-160.<\/p>\n

Winning the Futures Series this weekend was Erin Singleton (Apex, NC 2020) with rounds of 76-77-153. \u00a0In second place was Katie Park (Fairfax, VA 2022) with rounds of 80-79-159. \u00a0In third place was Trinity Muthomi (Kernersville, NC 2022) with rounds of 81-80-161. \u00a0In fourth place was Halynn Lee (Cary, NC 2021) with rounds of 78-84-162. \u00a0In fifth place was Grace Holcomb (Wilmington, NC 2021) with rounds of 87-77-164.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to all of our top-five finishers!\u00a0 The PKBGT will return to action with the Palmetto Classic at USC on March 18th-19th.<\/p>\n
