{"id":7338,"date":"2016-07-24T16:06:29","date_gmt":"2016-07-24T16:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pkbgt.org\/news\/?p=7338"},"modified":"2016-07-24T16:06:29","modified_gmt":"2016-07-24T16:06:29","slug":"16event37_preview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pkbgt.org\/news\/16event37_preview\/","title":{"rendered":"Preview: Bash at the Beach Classic @ River Landing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday-Monday, July 31st-August 1st, the PKBGT will play the Bash at the Beach Classic @\u00a0River Landing. \u00a0The course is home to the University of North Carolina Wilmington golf teams. \u00a0The facility features two championship courses, the River and Landing Course. \u00a0The PKBGT will host the <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\/images\/courses\/riverlanding.gif\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"20\" vspace=\"20\" \/>event at the River Course.<\/p>\n<p>Featured in the combined Prep Series field are Nicole Adam (Pinehurst, NC 2020) Sarah Funderberg (Wilmington, NC 2018) and Mackenzie Battle (Aberdeen, NC 2018). \u00a0Adam is currently ranked first on the Futures Series Order of Merit and is ranked in 47th on the Performance Index. \u00a0Funderberg is 28th on the Prep Series Order of Merit and is ranked 54th on the Performance Index. \u00a0Battle is ranked 4th on the Prep Series Order of Merit and 72nd on the Performance Index.<\/p>\n<p>Awards will be presented to the top-5 players in the Prep Series. \u00a0We look forward to a great event!<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
