{"id":6947,"date":"2016-02-29T00:01:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-29T00:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pkbgt.org\/news\/?p=6947"},"modified":"2016-02-29T00:01:00","modified_gmt":"2016-02-29T00:01:00","slug":"16event6_recap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pkbgt.org\/news\/16event6_recap\/","title":{"rendered":"Recap: Kuehn, Rawl Win Tiger Classic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pkb.shotstat.com\/TournamentScoring\/Scoreboard.aspx?TID=3920\">&#8212; Live Scoring &#8212;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The finish to the Tiger Classic could not have been more exciting!\u00a0 There was some great golf to be played by all and each series had a winner <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\/images\/courses\/walker.gif\" width=\"100\" height=\"120\" align=\"right\" hspace=\"20\" vspace=\"20\" \/>who came from behind to take the title.\u00a0 The weather could not have been better for late February, as temperatures reached the high 60s and the sun stayed out all day.<\/p>\n<p>Winning the Bell Series this weekend was Rachel Kuehn (Asheville, NC 2019) with rounds of 77-73-150.\u00a0 Kuehn played lights out today, neutralizing any bogey she made with another birdie.\u00a0 The runner-up this weekend matching cards was Moon Cheong (Charlotte, NC 2017) with rounds of 78-76-154.\u00a0 Finishing in third place with rounds of 74-80-154 was Woo Wade (Dunwoody, GA 2019).\u00a0 In fourth place this weekend by two strokes with 77-79-156 was Caroline Craig (Niceville, FL 2019).\u00a0 In fifth place matching cards was Anna McDonald (Hickory, NC 2019) 78-79-157.<\/p>\n<p>Winning the Futures Series by a commanding six strokes was Isabella Rawl (Lexington, SC 2022) with rounds of 80-77-157.\u00a0 Rawl was in it to win it today and shot a one-under 35 on her first nine holes.\u00a0 The runner-up in the Futures Series was Isabella van der Biest (Kingsport, TN 2021) who shot rounds of 80-83-163.\u00a0 In third place by one stroke was Caroline Crumrine (Wilmington, NC 2020) with round of 87-77-164.\u00a0 In fourth place was Anna Tsiros (Asheville, NC 2019) with rounds of 78-87-165.\u00a0 In fifth place matching cards was Lexanne Halama (Jonesborough, TN 2021) with 82-84-166.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations of all of our top-five finishers!\u00a0 The PKBGT will return to action at the Tar Heel Classic at UNC&#8217;s Finley Golf Course.\u00a0 Stay tuned for the action from Chapel Hill!<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a>\u00a0is an initiative of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
