One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to &#8220;get in to the swing of things&#8221; playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event features a field 43 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 425 members in 2014 and over 350 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Prep Series field features 12 golfers, highlighted some standout players on the 2015 PKBGT Performance Index, including: Rhea Bhatia (Wake Forest, NC 2015), Madison Branum (Lexington, SC 2018), Hailey Joy (Reidsville, NC 2018), and Sarina Sonoda (Florence, SC 2015).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Futures Series field features 31 golfers, highlighted by some standout players on the 2015 Futures Series Order of Merit list, including: Madison Cross (Hickory, NC 2016), Samantha Debusk (Lexington, NC 2017), Caroline Duggan (Holly Springs, NC 2019), Kristen Holman (Raleigh, NC 2016), Meghan McPeak (Chapel Hill, NC 2017), Emelia Pack (Browns Summit, NC 2019), Emilee Wenmoth (Clemmons, NC 2017), and Jordan Young (Winston-Salem, NC 2016).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The One-Day Open Series at Rocky River Golf Club brings together players from North Carolina and South Carolina. It should be a great event!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> is an initiative of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
