{"id":5543,"date":"2014-02-13T17:10:42","date_gmt":"2014-02-13T17:10:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pkbgt.org\/news\/?p=5543"},"modified":"2017-09-06T18:29:28","modified_gmt":"2017-09-06T18:29:28","slug":"14event4a_update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pkbgt.org\/news\/14event4a_update\/","title":{"rendered":"PLAYERS Championship Postponed to March 22-23"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the accumulation of over 3 inches of snow at the golf course and the continued winter weather continuing\u00a0in the Southeast, we have decided to <strong>POSTPONE\u00a0<\/strong>the event for this weekend\u00a0and reschedule for a future date.<\/p>\n<p>For our returning membership, you know the PKBGT will play in almost any condition but unfortunately, Mother Nature has prevented this weekend from being possible. \u00a0Evaluating temperature\u00a0forecasts, we are not confident that the course will be playable for play at all this\u00a0weekend on top of the concerns for travel. \u00a0Weighing these factors, we feel it is best to postpone this event.<\/p>\n<p>So, here is what\u00a0you need to know going forward:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The event will be rescheduled for Saturday-Sunday, March 22-23, 2014. \u00a0Due to scheduling conflicts, the event will not be able to be held at Chateau \u00c9lan. \u00a0We will be selecting a new course to host the event within the region (GA\/SC\/TN) as soon as possible.<\/li>\n<li>All players currently in the field will be transferred to this new event date. \u00a0The new event will be re-opened for new entrants as well as allow current players to withdrawal from the event with no penalty if the new date does not work for your schedule. \u00a0The new deadline date will be Monday, March 10.
