Host of the annual Bridgestone Golf Collegiate tournament, the 2012 NCAA DI Men\u2019s regionals, and the 2011, 2014 &amp; 2015 NCAA DIII Men\u2019s National Championship, Grandover Resort is a challenging course for this three-day event. The event features 51 players. The field is incredibly strong with 33 of the players ranked within the top-500 by Golfweek\/Titliest Junior Rankings and 29 players ranked within the top-750 by the Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings. With its depth, this event will be the strongest field in PKB Tour history. Six major championship winners and 16 event winners from the 2013 season will be playing at the PKBGT INVITATIONAL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Payton Schanen (Milton, GA 2015) is still leading after round 2. Schanen shot four over par with a score of 76, bringing her two-day total to 148. Not far behind Schanen is Jennifer Chang (Cary, NC 2018) who shot four over par with a score of 76, bringing her with a two-day total to 151 and Anna Redding (Concord, NC 2015) who shot even par with a score of 72, bringing her two-day total to 152.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Following Sunday&#8217;s round, the field was reduced to the top-30 players plus ties. Sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 60s are in the forecast for Monday. It should be a great weather for the final round of the PKBGT.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> is an initiative of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 400 members in 2013, more than 200 alumni in the collegiate ranks, and 37 verbal committees in the class of 2014.
