In 2002, the job of restoring the course to all its\u00a0 glory was assigned to Davis Love III\u2019s Love Design Group.<\/span><\/span><span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia;\">Having played the course\u00a0numerous times\u00a0as a member of the University of North Carolina&#8217;s golf team, and later\u00a0as a member of the \u00a0PGA TOUR, Davis Love III had the advantage of a historical perspective in working on the course redesign.\u00a0 He also had the benefit of hearing the opinions, suggestions and comments\u00a0from literally hundreds of touring professionals.\u00a0 In the end, however, he relied most heavily on his own golfer&#8217;s eye and instincts.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia;\"><strong><span>An Ellis Maples Original. A Davis Love III Signature Course.
