Birdwood CC at UVA, home of the University of Virginia Cavaliers men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s golf teams, is a challenging course for this two-day series. The event features a field of 23 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour with over 400 members and 94 alumni in the collegiate ranks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Bell Division field features 18 golfers, highlighted by four of the top 25 players on the 2012 PKBGT Order of Merit lists, including: Lyberty Anderson (Chesterfield, VA 2014) in 7th position, Sarah Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) in 15th position, Jessica Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) in 23rd position, and Victoria Allred (Pfafftown, NC 2014) in 25th position. will be playing her first tournament as a Bell Division player.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Futures Division field features 5 golfers, highlighted by three of the top 45 players on the 2012 PKBGT Order of Merit lists, including: Savannah Gowarty (Raleigh, NC 2015)\u00a0 in 9th position, Taylor Harris (Prince George, VA 2013) in 35th position, and Casey Gaffney (Chesterfield, VA 2014) in 44th position.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Boar&#8217;s Head Inn Classic @ Birdwood CC at UVA brings together the top players from North Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia. It should be an exciting &amp; challenging event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\">Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> is an initiative of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tygf.org\">Triad Youth Golf Foundation<\/a>, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls\u2019 golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls\u2019 golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
