Reston, Va. (Oct. 21, 2025) \u2014<\/strong> Nestled just west of Washington, D.C., players flocked to Hidden Creek Country Club to fight for first in the Middle Atlantic Girls Classic. There was quite the weather change between rounds one and two as it got incredibly windy after tee times began on day two, with winds reaching up to 20 m.p.h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner a week ago at the Rocky Mount Girls Classic, Josephina Lillian Kritsky<\/strong> (Potomac Falls, Va. 2027) picked up right where she left off. She began her first round with three birdies on the first three holes, leading to her total of eight birdies over the two rounds. With a two-day score of 71-72 \u2014 143 (-1) and as the only player to finish the weekend with a two-day total under par, Kritsky took home the trophy in the Bell National division. With 32 out of 36 holes of par or better, Maddie Chang<\/strong> (New York, NY 2030) finished in second place with a two-day total of 71-74 \u2014 145 (+1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three players tied for third place in the Bell National division. With an eagle on hole 11 during the second round aiding in her claim to being the only player to shoot under par during the second round, Elisha Yim<\/strong> (Clarksville, MD 2030) ended the tournament with a total of 75-71 \u2014 146 (+2). With 11 holes of par or better in a row during the first round, Christine Park<\/strong> (Norwood, N.J. 2029) finished with a two-day total of 71-75 \u2014 146 (+2). With the lowest round made during the entire tournament was Katherine Yun<\/strong> (Ashburn, Va. 2028), who finished the weekend with a two-day score of 70-76 \u2014 146 (+2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bell National Medalists<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In the Prep Preview division, Isha Garg<\/strong> (Berlin, Md. 2027) shot par or better on the back nine during the first round, helping her to finish the weekend with a total of 75-73 \u2014 148 (+4) to take first place. A birdie a day keeps Evelyn Park<\/strong> (Clarksville, Md. 2027) in play, as she finished in second with a two-day total of 77-74 \u2014 151 (+7).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With four birdies made between the two rounds, Avalise Kim<\/strong> (Alexandria, Va. 2030) placed third, finishing with a score of 75-77 \u2014 152 (+8). Averaging about twelves holes of par or better each round, Sy Shafie<\/strong> (Laytonsville, Md. 2028) ended the weekend with a two-day total of 79-77 \u2014 156 (+12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prep Preview Medalists <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The champion of the Futures National division is Olivia Nam<\/strong> (Chantilly, Va. 2031), who made an eagle on hole 11 during the second round and finished the tournament with a two-day total of 72-74 \u2014 146 (+2). This marks Nam’s first win since joining the tour last year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the weather, two players made quite the comeback during round two to jump two spots and tie for second place. With four birdies between both rounds, Madeline Kauffman<\/strong> (Alexandria, Va. 2031) ended the weekend with a two-day total of 81-75 \u2014 156 (+12). Meanwhile, Olivia Cusack<\/strong> (Potomac, Md. 2032) had 15 holes of par or better during the second round alone, finishing the weekend out with the same two-day total of 81-75 \u2014 156 (+12). With five birdies during the first round alone, Sophie Tolle<\/strong> (Leesburg, Va. 2030) finished in fourth place with a two-day score of 77-81 \u2014 158 (+14).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to the champions of the Middle Atlantic Girls Classic and all of our medalists from the weekend! We also extend an extensive thank you to all of the staff at Hidden Creek Country Club for hosting us this past weekend and all of their wonderful hospitality. Up next, the PKBGT will be heading to the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va., to play the Gold course for the Hampton Roads Girls Classic, beginning Nov. 1, 2025!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
