Pine Mountain, Ga. \u2014<\/b> The <\/i>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> headed to Callaway Gardens Golf Club for the first of many regional qualifiers for the Short Par 4 Notah Begay III Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour Girls National Championship. Of the two courses home to Callaway Gardens, the girls took to the Mountain View course to contend for the limited number of qualifying spots. The Notah Begay III Championship is once again working with PKB to host the All-Girls National Championship at the Koasati Pines Golf Club at Coushatta Resort in Kinder, La., later this year.<\/i><\/p>\n

Girls 16-18<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Holding onto her place in first from Round One, Anna Swan <\/strong>(North East, Pa. 2024) ended the second round with the first place plaque in her grasp. With an eagle on the second hole of the first round, Swan’s final score of 138 (-6) secured her place at Coushatta this November. Making four birdies over the two rounds, Victoriah Kuranga <\/strong>(Ilorin, Nigeria 2024) took home the second place plaque and landed the first alternate spot. With a total of 22 pars over the two days, Reagan Folk <\/b>(Madison, Ga. 2024) brought home third and took the second alternate spot. Saanvi Venkatesh<\/strong> (Montgomery, Ala. 2024) placed fourth with a score of 80-78\u2014158 (+14).<\/p>\n

With seven birdies between the two scorecards, Sofia Cherif Essakali<\/strong> (Miami, Fla. 2027) took the first place plaque and the first qualifying spot of this division, ending the rounds with a total score of 74-72\u2014146 (+2). With a final score of 75-74\u2014149 (+5), Camryn Coffield <\/strong>(Hamilton, Ga. 2026) finished second and obtained the second qualifying spot for the Girls 14-15 division. As there was a tie for third, a scorecard playoff was necessary. Since both Lili Nelson<\/strong> (Greensboro, Ga. 2026) and Julie Waldo<\/strong> (Prattville, Ala. 2026) shot the same on both days of the tournament, it came down to who had the lower back nine of Round Two. With a 38 on the back nine of the second day, Nelson took home the third place plaque and the first alternate spot. Waldo didn’t walk away empty handed, however, as she took the second alternate spot.<\/p>\n

With a consistent score of 75 (+3) over both days for a total of 150 (+6), Ariel Collins<\/strong> (Locust Grove, Ga. 2028) took home the second place plaque and the first alternate spot. Making five birdies over the two rounds, Amelia Holbrook<\/strong> (Columbus, Ga. 2029) ended the weekend in third, taking the second alternate spot with a score of 75-78\u2014153 (+9). After making 19 pars over the two rounds, Merritt Daniel <\/b>(Trussville, Ala. 2029) placed fourth with a two-day score of 85-76\u2014161 (+17).<\/p>\n

Right behind that, Gabriella Collelo<\/b> (Pinehurst, N.C. 2029) placed second and seized the first alternate spot with a score of 138 (-6). With another tie for third since both Vivian Lott <\/strong>(Fayetteville, Ga. 2029) and Sophia Lee<\/strong> (Auburn, Ala. 2029) shot 149 (+5), another scorecard playoff was required. With a 37 on the back nine of day two, Lott brought home the third place plaque and the second alternate spot.<\/p>\n
