Two Regionals, an Invitational and an NB3 Qualifier<\/h2>\r\n

Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South)<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Prep Series<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Olivia Vigliante<\/strong> (Leesburg, VA 2023) scored a birdie on her way to first at the Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South). Vigliante<\/span> took home the championship trophy with a score of 80 (+9).\u00a0<\/span> This was Vigliante’s first time taking first at a PKB event!<\/p>\r\n

Futures Series<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Aspen Bikowski<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/b>(White Plains, MD 2027)<\/span> accepted the challenge of placing first at the Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South)<\/span>. She took home the hardware with a score of 73 (+2)<\/span>.This win has started a reign of Bikowski holding first!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Discovery Series<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

After two play-off rounds against Madeline Navaleza<\/strong> (Baltimore, MD 2028), Sy Shafie<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/b>(Laytonsville, MD 2028) took home the champion hardware with a score of 38 (+3) at the Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South). This has begun another dynasty as this is Shafie’s second win in a row!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Prep Series<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Alexandria McClements<\/strong> (Sharpsburg, GA 2022) took first with a score of 89 (+17) at the Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club. As her second tournament ever with PKB, this was McClements<\/span> first time taking first!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Futures Series<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Emma McCoy <\/strong><\/span>(Villa Rica, GA 2024) took home the champion hardware with a score of 93 (+21) at the Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club. McCoy made the most pars in the Futures Division. This is McCoy’s first time taking first place!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Discovery Series<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Similar to McCoy, Rayah Chaijirawat<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/b>(Melbourne, FL 2031) made the most pars in the Discovery Series. With that, she took home the champion hardware with a score of 42 (+6) at the Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club.\u00a0Once again, this is Chaijirawat’s first time taking first!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Donna Andrews Invitational at Boonsboro Country Club<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Bell National<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Despite being an event outside of PKB, two PKB players took first in both the Open and Donna divisions that were available. Morgan Ketchum<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/b>(Winstono-Salem, NC 2022) took home the championship hardware in the 68-player Open Division<\/a> field with a three-day score of 71, 70, 67 = 208 (-8). Tied with another player, Ketchum took first after making par on the first play-off hole.<\/span> During the final round, she made an eagle on hole 12!<\/p>\r\n

Preview<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Macy Johnson<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/b>(Salem, VA 2023) took first with a three-day score of 73, 75, 76 = 224 (+8) in the 12-player Donna Division<\/a>. Johnson held onto her lead throughout the entire tournament. She also scored a total of nine birdies on her way to victory!<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Ohio Regional Qualifier at New Albany Golf Links for the NB3 Championship<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Girls 16-18<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Victoriah Kuranga<\/strong> (Decatur, GA 2023) took first in the Ohio Regional Qualifier at New Albany Golf Links with a two-day score of 70, 74 = 144 (E)! The challenge of this course did nothing to deter her from taking first and qualifying for the NB3 Championship that will take place in Louisiana later this year!<\/p>\r\n

Girls 14-15<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Swetha Sathish<\/strong> (Oakville, Canada 2025) came back in the last round at New Albany Golf Links, finishing the tournament with a two-day score of 75, 69 = 144 (E). Sathish scored a hole in one in the last round on hole 16 to secure her spot in qualifying!<\/p>\r\n

Girls 12-13<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Isabella Anderson<\/strong> (Columbus, OH 2026) had a score of 74, 76 = 150 (+6), qualifying her for the NB3 Championship. Anderson continued to hold first throughout the tournament. Between the two rounds, she scored seven birdies!<\/p>\r\n

Girls 10-11<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\r\n

Jodie Han<\/strong> (Lewis Center, OH 2028) was the only player at the North Carolina Regional Qualifier at Anderson Creek whose two-day score was under par! She qualified for the NB3 Championship with a two-day score of 67, 68 = 135 (-9). Han made an amazing 12 birdies over the two days!<\/p>\r\n

Upcoming Events<\/h2>\r\n

Our next upcoming event is the fifth annual Linville Cup at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Course, which is being held from Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3. Friday will begin with team building before the official practice round at 1:30 P.M. Beginning on Tuesday, July 5, is the Delaware Valley Series WGAP Girls Championship. On Tuesday, July 5, Discovery players will begin on hole 10 at 8:30 A.M., but Prep and Futures players will begin at 10:00 A.M. off of hole 1. The two-day national event HJ Glove Girls Championship at the Links at Perry Cabin will begin on Wednesday, July 6, with tee times starting at 10:00 A.M.<\/p>\r\n

About the PKBGT<\/h2>\r\n

Founded in 2007 by the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls\u2019 golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina, the tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player\u2019s pace.
