Southern Pines, NC<\/strong>– The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> opened play at the 2021 PKBGT TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP at the home of the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open and our tour namesake, Ms. Peggy Kirk Bell. The year-end championship event brought representatives from twelve states across the eastern seaboard and the midwest.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Bell National<\/h2>\n

Kathryn Ha<\/strong> (Roanoke, VA 2025), a seasoned veteran on the PKB Girls’ Tour and a regular contender in PKBGT Championship events, will sleep on another lead after an opening-round 69 (-3) that included five birdies on the day. Kathryn, currently sixth in the PKBGT Bell National Order of Merit rankings, has a chance to etch her name in the PKB history books come Sunday if a few things fall into place. The Roanoke, VA native will begin round two with a two-shot advantage over Keira Bartholomew<\/strong> (Wake Forest, NC 2023), who finished at (-1).<\/p>\n

Raquel Walker<\/strong> (Burke, VA 2026) made a splash on Friday at the opening round of the PKBGT TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP thanks to a fiery homeward-nine on the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open Championship golf course. Raquel birdied number ten and eleven and followed with a third birdie on the fourteenth hole. She’ll have the top two Futures National Order of Merit leaders join her in the final pairing for Saturday’s second round.<\/p>\n

By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
