Salisbury, NC-<\/b> The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> returned to the Country Club of Salisbury for the annual PKBGT OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP.\u00a0 Nine college signees\/commits and residents of six states highlighted this top 25 nationally ranked event. The field experienced a much different golf course Sunday for Moving Day. Temperatures stayed near 60 degrees for much of the day with a heavy eastern wind.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Bell National<\/h2>\n

Morgan Ketchum<\/strong> (Winston-Salem, NC 2022) extends her lead at the 15th playing of the PKBGT OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP after her second-round score of 68 (-3). Morgan’s clean card consisted of fifteen pars and three birdies. The PKBGT veteran will take a six-shot lead heading into the final round at the Country Club of Salisbury. Ketchum was the only Bell National player under par in both of the two rounds played so far.<\/p>\n

Futures National<\/h2>\n

Day two of the PKBGT Masters was all about Ellie Acrey<\/strong> (Winston-Salem, NC 2026). The Winston-Salem, NC product shot a career-best 68 (-3) to break free of the packed Futures National leaderboard. Looking for that elusive first PKBGT Futures National Series title, Acrey will sleep on a three-shot lead heading into tomorrow’s final round. Highlighted by a near ace on the par-three ninth, Acrey turned in 32 (-3) to jump to the top of the leaderboard. Ellie never looked back, firing on all cylinders till the final putt dropped.<\/p>\n
