Sanford, NC<\/b>– The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> returned to the Tarheel state for the annual Carolina\u2019s Classic at Carolina Trace Golf Club. Carolina Trace, host of numerous US Women\u2019s Open qualifiers, will welcome sixty PKBGT tour members representing eight states and Canada to the lakes Course in Sanford, NC.<\/i><\/p>\n

Bell National<\/h2>\n

Anne-Lea Lavoie <\/b>(Quebec, Canada 2023) picked up right where she left off at the Spring Prep Preview Finale, where she won her third PKBGT event of the season at the Carolina’s Classic at Carolina Trace Golf Club. The Quebec native opened play with a round of 72 (E) that included a 34 (-2) front-nine score to take a five-shot lead heading into the final round. Lavoie tabbed five birdies on a wet and rainy Saturday along Lake Trace. Anna Howerton<\/strong> (Winston-Salem, NC 2023) sits in second place at (+5), and Gracie Song<\/strong> (Waxhaw, NC 2026) at (+6) will join the two in the final pairing.<\/p>\n

Jenna Kim<\/strong> (Raleigh, NC 2027) looks to move into the top spot in the PKBGT Futures National Order of Merit rankings with a victory at the Carolina’s Classic. Kim fired an opening-round 70 (-2) to take a three-shot lead over the current Order of Merit leader Ella June Hannant<\/strong> (Pikeville, NC 2027). Jenna went out in 34 (-2) and came in with 36 (E). It’ll be an all Carolina’s final pairing with Grace Lindsey<\/strong> (Mt. Pleasant, SC 2025) joining Hannant and Kim after her round of 78 (+6).<\/p>\n
