GREENSBORO, NC\u00a0 – Girls Golf of America Inc and the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT) are excited to announce the launch of the PKBGT Tradition Ambassador program to increase exposure to American girls golfers.\u00a0 Current LPGA Tour professionals Katherine Perry Hamski & Emma Talley and PGA Kory Ferry Tour Professional Kyle Reifers will each serve as Tradition Ambassadors for 2021. The Ambassadors will provide mentorship opportunities with current PKBGT members in addition to a hosting a tournament in their home states.<\/p>\n

The series schedule currently features the Katherine Perry Hamski Girls Tradition at UNC Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on March 13-14, 2021, the Emma Talley Girls Tradition presented by Kentucky Jr Golf Tour at Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, Kentucky on April 17-18, 2021, and the Kyle Reifers & Family Girls Tradition to be hosted in Columbus, Ohio at a course to be determined in May 2021.<\/p>\n

Additionally, a personalized experience for players of the PKBGT will be hosted by the Ambassador. The structure and date of this experience is to-be-determined because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the forthcoming announcement of the LPGA & Kory Ferry Tour\u2019s schedule. This experience will be designed to give the girls the opportunity to learn from the Ambassador, interact with them, and help further the juniors\u2019 love for golf.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Girls Golf of America Foundation and the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour are proud to partner with these professionals and various state golf associations to promote girls golf,\u201d Mike Parker, PKBGT Director stated. \u201cThe Girls Tradition events will provide a national platform for girls to compete and shine a light on the great golfing talent in each region.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Katherine Perry Hamski<\/strong>, a North Carolina native and LPGA Tour member, was an All-American performer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.\u00a0 A four year veteran on the LPGA Tour, has two career top 10 finishes including a 6th place finish at the 2019 Volunteers of America Classic.\u00a0 As a junior, Perry is the most decorated champion in Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour history, with 9 national event victories to her name and a two-time Order of Merit champion.\u00a0 An All-American performer at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, the selection of UNC Chapel Hill Finley Golf Club to host the Katherine Perry Hamski Girls Tradition was a perfect fit.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m excited to see how the PKBGT can continue to grow and reach more girls across the US.!”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Emma Talley<\/strong>, a Kentucky native and LPGA Tour member, was a four-time All-American performer at the University of Alabama.\u00a0 In her three year career on the LPGA Tour, she has five top 10 finishes including a 5th place finish at the 2020 Marathon LPGA Classic presented by Dana in August.\u00a0 A stand-out amateur, Talley one of only five women to win both NCAA Individual Championship (2015) and U.S. Women’s Amateur (2013).\u00a0 Bowling Green Country Club, host to the Emma Talley Girls Tradition, has special memories for Emma, having won three KHSAA State Championships on the course while playing for Caldwell County High School.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Kyle Reifers<\/strong>, an Ohio native, has played professionally on the PGA & Kory Ferry Tours for the past 14 seasons.\u00a0 A two-time NCAA All-America and three-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection at Wake Forest University, Reifers placed 2nd at the 2006 at the NCAA Championship.\u00a0 \u00a0Reifers professional highlights include a victory at the 2006 Korn Ferry Tour Chattanooga Classic, defeating Brandt Snedeker in a play-off to claim the title and a runner-up finish to J.J. Henry in a play-off at the 2015 PGA Tour Barracuda Championship.\u00a0 \u00a0A golfing family, both of his parents are accomplished amateur players, evidenced by both winning Ohio State Amateurs (the same tournament their son won in 2004).\u00a0 \u00a0A site is currently being selected in the Columbus, Ohio region to host the 2021 Kyle Reifers & Family Girls Tradition this Spring.<\/p>\n

“I am so excited to partner with the PKBGGT and be a part of the inaugural Tradition Series. To have a golf tournament with my name on it, in my hometown, is truly a dream come true,\u201d Kyle Reifers stated.\u00a0 \u201cI hope this gives girls across the region another opportunity to better themselves and gain confidence that will help them in the future<\/p>\n

More details about each event and the Ambassador experience will be released early in 2021.\u00a0 Each event is scheduled to open for registration on January 1st, 2021.<\/p>\n
