Bermuda Run, NC-<\/b>The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour continued play at the twelfth annual PKBGT Invitational hosted at Bermuda Run Country Club. Played over Veterans Day weekend every year, the tour’s best compete on the West and East Course over two days, with the top thirty and ties advancing to the East Course’s final round. The PKBGT Invitational has the strongest field of the season every year, and 2020 was no different! Although a handful of players were unable to attend due to travel restrictions, ninety-percent of the field ranked inside the top 1000 on Junior Golf Scoreboard. Moving day provided plenty of storylines as the field of 62 is diminished to thirty.<\/em><\/p>\n

Bell National<\/h2>\n

We knew going into day two of the PKBGT Invitational would be a much harder challenge on the East Course, but an eight-shot swing was not on the docket. Sara Im<\/strong> (Duluth, GA 2023), owner of two PKBGT records after yesterday’s opening round, just couldn’t put together a round on Moving Day. An unfortunate mistake that cost the leader two shots on the fifth hole diminished Im’s lead before Adrian Anderson<\/strong> (Murrels Inlet, SC 2022) finally overtook Sara on the tenth hole. Anderson began her second round with a birdie, doubled the par-four fifth, and closed with two birdies to go out in 36 (E). The Murrels Inlet, SC native, added three more birdies on the back with a bogey on the fifteenth. Adrian’s round of 70 (-2) was nine shots better than the day’s average.<\/p>\n

The biggest mover on moving day was Sydney Yermish<\/strong> (Wynnewood, PA 2023), who fired a 69 (-3), which included four birdies on the day to catapult Yermish into the final pairing with the day one leader Sara Im and the overall leader Adrian Anderson.<\/p>\n

T2. Sydney Yermish<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>(Wynnewood, PA 2023) \/ 73 \/ 69 = 142 (-2)<\/p>\n

4. Tatum Walsh<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>(Midlothian, VA 2021) \/ 70 \/ 73 = 143 (-1)<\/p>\n

5. Thienna Huynh <\/strong>(Lilburn, GA 2022) \/ 71 \/ 73 = 144 (E)<\/p>\n
