Williamsburg, VA<\/b>– Greensboro, NC-<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/a> headed north for the second of three events in the DMV for the Colonial Girls Classic at Williamsburg National. Located in historic Williamsburg, VA, The Jamestown Course at Williamsburg National, on land once inhabited by our nation\u2019s first settlers and the Powhatan Indians, will welcome a strong field for this late October showdown on the James River. Deemed a \u201c4 star facility\u201d by Golf Digest and proud former host of the PGA Tour Michelob Championship qualifiers, a bid to the PKBGT National Tournament of Champions is on the line for the forty-eight competitors between the two divisions.<\/i><\/p>\n

Bell National<\/h2>\n

A PKB vet will sleep on a seven-shot lead after an opening-round 69 (-3). Amber Mackiewicz<\/strong> (Virginia Beach, VA 2023), a winner of two events last season, recorded three birdies and an eagle on Saturday afternoon. Mackiewicz went out in 33 with birdies on five and nine and an eagle on the seventh hole. The Virginia Beach, VA native, added one more blue circle on her back-nine coming home in thirty-six. Amber closed out her round with seven straight pars. Alice Zou<\/strong> (Potomac, MD 2022), Amber’s nearest competitor, finished day one at 76 (+4). In the final pairing, joining Amber and Alice is Grace Addison<\/strong> (Abingdon, VA 2023) at (+5).<\/p>\n

Futures National<\/h2>\n

A good friend of the Bell National leader takes the overnight lead in the Futures National Divison. Madison Lehr<\/strong> (Mechanicsville, VA 2024) holds a one-shot lead on the field thanks to her opening round of 79 (+7). Lehr carded one birdie on the day, is fresh off a seventh-place finish last week at the Blue Ridge Girls Classic. Lehr is searching for her maiden National Series title and her first PKB victory in almost two years. The Mechanicsville, VA native won the Futures Regional division at the Middle Atlantic Series Finale in 2019. Joining Lehr in the final pairing on a soggy Sunday will be Fannie Sukhumparnich<\/strong> (Bethesda, MD 2024) and Addie Doroh\u00a0<\/strong>(Charlottesville, 2025) after rounds of 80 (+8).<\/p>\n
