Thomasville, NC-<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour<\/a> concluded the 2020 North Carolina Regional Series this weekend in Thomasville, NC, at Colonial Country Club. Colonial Country Club, set in the rolling hills and hardwood forests of Thomasville, North Carolina. The best of the region, including the top-ranked players in the Storie Order of Merit, are vying for crucial OOM points, automatic invites into some of the best fall events, including the Prep, Futures, and Discovery Invitational as well as the PKBGT Tournament of Champions!<\/i><\/p>\n

Prep<\/h2>\n

Saia Rampersaud<\/strong> (Durham, NC 2025) opening with a solid round of 72 (E). Saia carded four birdies, including one on the first, tenth, and eighteenth holes for the Durham native. Saia holds an overnight lead of three shots. Sahana Mantha<\/strong> (Charlotte, NC 2025) sits three off Rampersaud after her opening round 75 (+3). Ava Lucas<\/strong> (Raleigh, NC 2021) and Kayla Dowell<\/strong> (Mebane, NC 2021) are tied for third at (+4).<\/p>\n

A Pennsylvania native holds the lead in the Futures division after an opening-round 72 (+1). Rachel Joyce<\/strong> (Quakertown, PA 2026) fired three birdies of her first four holes on the backside to take a six-shot lead on the field heading into tomorrow’s final round. Paige Sidney<\/strong> (Clemmons, NC 2024) and Ellie Acrey<\/strong> (Winston-Salem, NC 2026) hold the silver position at the moment after rounds of 78 (+7).<\/p>\n
