Greenwood, SC-<\/strong>On February 29-March 1, 2020, <\/em>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour<\/a> concluded play at the Stoney Point Girls Classic at the Links at Stoney Point. Stoney Point, an annual stop on the Symetra Tour from 2015 to 2019, was in prime condition for a great weekend of tournament play as the contestants battled windy and chilly conditions on both days to open up the month of March.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Prep Preview<\/h2>\n

Finishing in first place in the Prep Preview Division was Chloe Holder\u00a0<\/strong>(Williamston, SC 2021) after posting a two day total of (+1) [73+72=145] en route to a nine-stroke victory. The Williamston, SC native birdied her. First, sixteenth and eighteenth holes in the second round added her total to four over 36 holes. This was Holder’s first PKBGT event of 2020 and her first win on tour since her victory back in 2018 at Statesville CC.<\/p>\n

Futures National<\/h2>\n

Finishing in first place in the Futures National division was Saia Rampersaud<\/strong> (Durham, NC 2025) after posting a two-day total of (+23) [85+82=167]. Rampersaud began the final round one stroke behind the leader and faltered out of the gate, doubling her first hole. The Durham native recovered with back-to-back birdies on three and four. A birdie on the tenth ultimately sealed the deal for Rampersaud once the round was all said and done.\u00a0 This is Rampersaud’s second top-five finish of the 2020 season. The Durham, NC will also be representing the state of North Carolina in a few short weeks at Augusta National for the Drive Chip and Putt Championships.<\/p>\n
