These events are designed for golfers of all levels, providing a fun and friendly environment on a premium golf course for developmental golfers to \u201cget in the swing of things\u201d in playing tournament golf. Out of school and free to choose from the many options when it comes to the slew of summer tournaments across the country, it can feel overwhelming when trying to direct the benefits of each option. Are rankings important when I\u2019m ranked over 2,000 on NJGS? <\/b><\/h2>\n

The rankings system can be a complex subject to understand. Are they an important factor if your daughter is ranked outside the Top 2,000 on the <\/span>National Junior Golf Scoreboard<\/span><\/a>? We\u2019ll break down how the rankings system impacts your daughter when they are ranked over 2,000 on the NJGS!<\/span><\/p>\n

What to do when you\u2019re a late bloomer <\/b><\/h2>\n

Not every player picks up a club at an early age? Many PKBGT members begin their golfing career at a later stage in life. There\u2019s no need to worry! We\u2019ll cover the best plan for a late bloomer, and direct a plan toward a successful career on the PKBGT and beyond! <\/span><\/p>\n

How do top-ranked events help my ranking? An overview of strength of field and its effect on your ranking<\/b><\/h2>\n

Not all events are created and ranked equally. In assembling your summer schedule, you may wonder how top-ranked events can help your rankings. We\u2019ll be going over strength of field in its entirety: what determines the strength of field and how it can effect your ranking! <\/span><\/p>\n

About PKBGT Tour Director, Mike Parker <\/b><\/h1>\n

Mike brings over 17 years of tournament operation experience, including co-founding the <\/span>PKBGT<\/span><\/a> with Robert Linville in 2007 and serving as its Tour Director since inception. \u00a0Mike has also directed the <\/span>Precision Golf Junior Championships<\/span><\/a>for ten years and was a Site Director for the <\/span>U.S. Kid\u2019s Golf World Championships<\/span><\/a> for five.<\/span><\/p>\n

About the PKBGT<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Founded in 2007 by the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls\u2019 golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina, the tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player\u2019s pace.
