On Saturday, May 4, the 2019 <\/span>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/span><\/a> played the<\/span> Central Florida Series at Eagle Creek GC<\/span><\/a> in Orlando, FL.<\/span> The PKBGT is excited to be working in partnership with <\/span>Insurance Office of America <\/span><\/a>as the presenting sponsor of the series for the second year in a row!<\/span><\/p>\n

These PKBGT regional events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. <\/span>The PKBGT Series Progression<\/span><\/a> allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage\/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Futures Division<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Taking home the championship in the Futures Division in a tiebreaker playoff, was <\/span>Darby Hancock <\/b>(Lakeland, FL 2025) after shooting a score of 77 (+4). This was Hancock\u2019s first win in here Futures division career! <\/span><\/p>\n

Finishing in second place, also with a final score of 77 (+4) was <\/span>Morgan Stephens <\/b>(Sanford, FL 2020). Stephens fell just short of Hancock in the playoff, but put on quite a performance in her round on Saturday! <\/span><\/p>\n

Just one stroke behind the leaders, <\/span>Abigail Fernandez <\/b>(Windermere, FL 2023) finished in third place. \u00a0Rounding out the top finishers was <\/span>Cameron Spellman<\/b> (Heathrow, FL 2022) who finished in fourth place with a score of 81 (+8). Spellman made two birdies on the afternoon. <\/span><\/p>\n

Discovery Division<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Champion of the Discovery Division, also in a tiebreaker, was <\/span>Riley Fletcher <\/b>(Winter Springs, FL 2025). Mackiewicz posted a two-over-par score of 38 to win the trophy! <\/span>Adriana Pagan <\/b>(Oviedo, \u00a0FL 2026)<\/span> finished in second place, also closing out her round with a score of 38 (+2).<\/span><\/p>\n

Bretton Mackiewicz <\/b>(Longwood, FL 2025) finished in third place, one stoke behind the leaders, with a score of 39 (+3) on the afternoon. \u00a0In fourth place with a score of 42 (+6) was <\/span>Brynn Pressimone <\/b>(Longwood, FL 2026). Rounding out the Top Five was <\/span>Liana Brewer <\/b>(Tampa, FL 2028) with a score of 51 (+15).<\/span><\/p>\n

The PKBGT is back in action May 18 for the Central Florida Series at Orange Tree in Orlando, FL. \u00a0Make sure to #inviteHER to try out their first tournament FREE at a PKBGT Central Florida Series event!<\/span><\/p>\n

About the PKBGT Regional Series<\/b><\/h2>\n

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels but are a great place for development golfers to \u201cget into the swing of things\u201d playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The Central Florida Regional Series Kickoff event features a field of 24 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour.<\/span><\/p>\n
