The PKBGT is excited to be working in partnership with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ioausa.com\/\">Insurance Office of America <\/a>as the presenting sponsor of the series for the second year in a row!<\/p>\n<p>These PKBGT regional events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\/about_series.php\">The PKBGT Series Progression<\/a> allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage\/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep and Futures Divisions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Prep Division, <strong>Tiffany Colin <\/strong>(Wesley Chapel, 2023) took home the title after posting a solid round of 86 (+14) highlighted by 9 pars for her first PKBGT Prep Regional victory of the 2019 season to punch her ticket to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pkbgt.org\/tournaments_toc.php\">2019 PKBGT Tournament of Champions presented by Golf Pride.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Edging out the competition in the Futures Division was <strong>Abigail Fernandez <\/strong>(Windermere, FL 2023) after shooting a score of 90 (+18) to win by just one shot over <strong>Morgan Stephens<\/strong> (Sanford, FL 2020). Fernandez\u2019s victory at The Bayou Club was her third PKBGT victory of 2019!<\/p>\n<p>Just two shots behind first to round out the top 3 was <strong>Darby Hancock<\/strong> (Lakeland, FL 2025) with a score of 92.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discovery Division<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Champion of the Discovery Division was PKBGT North Carolina Series native <strong>Leah Edwards <\/strong>(Greensboro, NC 2025). Edwards posted a solid one-over-par round of 38 to win by 9 shots in the sunshine state. In second place, <strong>Madison Dusenbury <\/strong>(Deland, FL 2028) finished with a score of 47 (+10), a round highlighted by two pars on the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> and 9<sup>th<\/sup> holes.<\/p>\n<p>The PKBGT is back in action next weekend on May 4 for the Central Florida Series at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, FL. \u00a0Make sure to #inviteHER to try out their first tournament FREE at a PKBGT Central Florida Series event!<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the PKBGT Regional Series<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels but are a great place for development golfers to \u201cget into the swing of things\u201d playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course.
