On Saturday, April 6, the 2019 <\/span>Peggy Kirk Bell Girls\u2019 Golf Tour<\/span><\/a> played the<\/span> Central Florida Series at Twin Rivers GC<\/span><\/a> in Oviedo, FL.<\/span> The PKBGT is excited to be working in partnership with <\/span>Insurance Office of America <\/span><\/a>as the presenting sponsor of the series for the second year in a row!<\/span><\/p>\n

These PKBGT regional events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. <\/span>The PKBGT Series Progression<\/span><\/a> allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage\/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Futures Division<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Taking home the championship in the Futures Division, was <\/span>Madison Garrett <\/b>(Tampa, FL 2019) after shooting a score of 78 (+6). Garrett took home the trophy for the second week in a row with her performance!<\/span><\/p>\n

Finishing in second place with a final score of 81 (+9) was <\/span>Tiffany Colin <\/b>(Wesley Chapel, FL 2023). Like Garett, Colin finished in second place for the second week in a row! In third place was <\/span>Abigail Fernandez <\/b>(Windermere, FL 2023) with a final score of 81 (+11). <\/span><\/p>\n

Hannah Booth <\/b>(Oviedo, FL 2025) finished in fourth place with a final score of 86 (+14). Rounding out the top five was <\/span>Kaylee Dwyer<\/b> (Mokena, IL 2024) with a score of 90 (+18). Mixon birdied back-to-back holes on her back nine as the highlight of her round. <\/span><\/p>\n

Discovery Division<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Champion of the Discovery Division for the second week in a row was <\/span>Bretton Mackiewicz<\/b> (Longwood, FL 2025). Mackiewicz posted a phenomenal score of two-under-par 34 to take home the title! <\/span>Riley Fletcher <\/b>(Winter Springs, FL 2025)<\/span> finished in second place with a score of 44 (+8).<\/span><\/p>\n

Brynn Pressimone <\/b>(Longwood, FL 2026) finished in third place with a score of 43 (+7) on the afternoon. \u00a0In fourth place with a score of 48 (+12) was <\/span>Madison Dusenbury <\/b>(Deland, FL 2028). Rounding out the Top Five was <\/span>Adriana Pagan <\/b>(Oviedo, FL 2026) with a score of 51 (+15).<\/span><\/p>\n

The PKBGT is back in action April 27 for the Central Florida Series at The Bayou Club in Largo, FL. \u00a0Make sure to #inviteHER to try out their first tournament FREE at a PKBGT Central Florida Series event!<\/span><\/p>\n

About the PKBGT Regional Series<\/b><\/p>\n

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels but are a great place for development golfers to \u201cget into the swing of things\u201d playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The Central Florida Regional Series Kickoff event features a field of 24 players from the PKB Girls\u2019 Golf Tour, the nation\u2019s largest \u201cgirls\u2019 only\u201d junior tour.<\/span><\/p>\n
