Lavoie Lovin’ Life

Making the farthest trek out of any PKBGT member this season, Anne-Lea Lavoie (Quebec, Canada 2023) traveled 16 hours to compete in her maiden PKBGT National Series event this past weekend at the Campbell Girls Classic. The resident of the Great White North was scheduled to compete in three events last season before COVID-19 ultimately shut down the 2020 National schedule for almost two months. Lavoie matched her round of 75 (+3) on Saturday with a (+3) final round to capture the Prep title by three. Anne-Lea carded two birdies on both days. Lavoie will be back in action this weekend at the first-ever PKBGT Katherine Perry-Hamski Tradition.

Ashnoor Kaur (Roanoke, VA 2027), has something else to celebrate before she heads down to Augusta National Golf Club in a few week’s time for the Drive, Chip, and Putt National Finals. Kaur outlasted two 2021 National Series medalists to claim her first PKBGT Futures National title at Keith Hills Golf Club in Lillington, NC. Ashnoor began the final round tied with Jenna Kim (Raleigh, NC 2027) at (+3) for the tournament. The lead swapped back-and-forth between the two on the front nine before Kaur turned up the heat making birdie on her eighth and ninth holes to win by a shot. Due to the threat of daylight, the Futures division was reduced to a 27 hole event.
