Two Regionals, an Invitational and an NB3 Qualifier
Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South)
Prep Series
Olivia Vigliante (Leesburg, VA 2023) scored a birdie on her way to first at the Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South). Vigliante took home the championship trophy with a score of 80 (+9). This was Vigliante’s first time taking first at a PKB event!
Futures Series
Aspen Bikowski (White Plains, MD 2027) accepted the challenge of placing first at the Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South). She took home the hardware with a score of 73 (+2).This win has started a reign of Bikowski holding first!
Discovery Series
After two play-off rounds against Madeline Navaleza (Baltimore, MD 2028), Sy Shafie (Laytonsville, MD 2028) took home the champion hardware with a score of 38 (+3) at the Middle Atlantic Series at Bowling Green Country Club (South). This has begun another dynasty as this is Shafie’s second win in a row!
Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club
Prep Series
Alexandria McClements (Sharpsburg, GA 2022) took first with a score of 89 (+17) at the Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club. As her second tournament ever with PKB, this was McClements first time taking first!
Futures Series
Emma McCoy (Villa Rica, GA 2024) took home the champion hardware with a score of 93 (+21) at the Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club. McCoy made the most pars in the Futures Division. This is McCoy’s first time taking first place!
Discovery Series
Similar to McCoy, Rayah Chaijirawat (Melbourne, FL 2031) made the most pars in the Discovery Series. With that, she took home the champion hardware with a score of 42 (+6) at the Georgia Series at Houston Lake Country Club. Once again, this is Chaijirawat’s first time taking first!
Donna Andrews Invitational at Boonsboro Country Club
Bell National
Despite being an event outside of PKB, two PKB players took first in both the Open and Donna divisions that were available. Morgan Ketchum (Winstono-Salem, NC 2022) took home the championship hardware in the 68-player Open Division field with a three-day score of 71, 70, 67 = 208 (-8). Tied with another player, Ketchum took first after making par on the first play-off hole. During the final round, she made an eagle on hole 12!
Preview
Macy Johnson (Salem, VA 2023) took first with a three-day score of 73, 75, 76 = 224 (+8) in the 12-player Donna Division. Johnson held onto her lead throughout the entire tournament. She also scored a total of nine birdies on her way to victory!
Ohio Regional Qualifier at New Albany Golf Links for the NB3 Championship
Girls 16-18
Victoriah Kuranga (Decatur, GA 2023) took first in the Ohio Regional Qualifier at New Albany Golf Links with a two-day score of 70, 74 = 144 (E)! The challenge of this course did nothing to deter her from taking first and qualifying for the NB3 Championship that will take place in Louisiana later this year!
Girls 14-15
Swetha Sathish (Oakville, Canada 2025) came back in the last round at New Albany Golf Links, finishing the tournament with a two-day score of 75, 69 = 144 (E). Sathish scored a hole in one in the last round on hole 16 to secure her spot in qualifying!
Girls 12-13
Isabella Anderson (Columbus, OH 2026) had a score of 74, 76 = 150 (+6), qualifying her for the NB3 Championship. Anderson continued to hold first throughout the tournament. Between the two rounds, she scored seven birdies!
Girls 10-11
Jodie Han (Lewis Center, OH 2028) was the only player at the North Carolina Regional Qualifier at Anderson Creek whose two-day score was under par! She qualified for the NB3 Championship with a two-day score of 67, 68 = 135 (-9). Han made an amazing 12 birdies over the two days!
Upcoming Events
Our next upcoming event is the fifth annual Linville Cup at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Course, which is being held from Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3. Friday will begin with team building before the official practice round at 1:30 P.M. Beginning on Tuesday, July 5, is the Delaware Valley Series WGAP Girls Championship. On Tuesday, July 5, Discovery players will begin on hole 10 at 8:30 A.M., but Prep and Futures players will begin at 10:00 A.M. off of hole 1. The two-day national event HJ Glove Girls Championship at the Links at Perry Cabin will begin on Wednesday, July 6, with tee times starting at 10:00 A.M.
About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina, the tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2022 season will feature over 138 tournaments in 12+ states and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.
