Kaitlin Matheson victorious at PKBGT Patriot Point

Mt. Pleasant, SC – The final round of the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour at Patriots Point Golf Links featured some great play considering the wet and windy conditions and tour newcomer Kaitlin Matheson of Easley, SC posted a final round 76 to take home her first PKB victory with a two day total of 77-76–153.

Following Matheson were Kelsey Badmaev of Blythewood,SC and  Reona Hirai of Summerville, SC at 158.

Mt. Pleasant, SC- The third event of the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour will take place at Patriots Point Golf Links this weekend. The 18 player field will consist of top performers from four states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland including hometown favorite Shelby Winters. Winters finished second in the PKBGT’s first event this year at Cobblestone. Also in the field, Taelor Rubin of Cary, NC and the Thiagaraj sisters of Rockville, MD.

The weather looks to cooperate on the coast this weekend and it will be exciting to see how the girls will perform on this truly link style golf course.
