Preview: Palmetto Classic at USC’s Cobblestone Park

— Live Scoring —

On Saturday-Sunday, March 19-20, the PKBGT will play the Palmetto Classic at Cobblestone Park Golf Club. Cobblestone, home of the University of South Carolina women’s golf team, is a beautiful course for this two-day tournament.  The event features a field of 61 players from eight different states, making PKB Girls’ Golf Tour the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

Featured in the Bell Series this weekend are Rachel Kuehn, (Asheville, NC 2019) Emily Hawkins, (Lexington, NC 2018) and Kathryn Carson (Mooresville, NC 2016).  Kuehn, who won this year’s PKBGT Invitational in the fall and the Tiger Classic at Clemson, is highly ranked on the PKBGT Performance Index at number eight.  Hawkins, who ranks in the seventh spot on the Performance Index will play in her fourth PKBGT event this year after finishing second at the Invitational.  Carson is ranked 11th on the Performance Index and will compete against Keuhn, Hawkins, and 30 other Bell players for the Palmetto Classic title.

Featured in the Futures Series are Isabella Rawl, (Lexington, SC 2021) Meghan McPeak, (Chapel Hill, NC 2017) and Emilia Pack (Browns Summit, NC (2019).  Rawl recently won the Tiger Classic in the Futures Series and is ranked 102nd on the PKBGT Performance Index.  McPeak and Pack are ranked 166th and 167th on the Performance Index respectively and will compete for the Futures Series title.

Awards will be presented to the top-five finishers in both series at the completion of play on Sunday, March 20th.  We look forward to another great PKBGT event and welcome all of our new players and PKB families!
