It was an exciting day for golf and the outcome of today’s round did not disappoint! There were some great shots played at UNC’s Finley Golf Course by many players. The PKBGT would like to extend a congratulations to Hailey Joy (Reidsville, NC 2018) for her hole-in-one today on the 150-yard eighth hole!
Winning the Bell Series was Gina Kim (Chapel Hill, NC 2018) who fired two under par rounds of 71-67 to shoot a six-under 138 for the tournament. Kim’s bogey-free final round included five impressive birdies. The runner-up in the Bell Series was Emilia Migliaccio (Cary, NC 2017) with two great rounds of 69-74 for a one-under 143 total. In third place was Sarah Willis (Eaton, OH 2018) with rounds of 74-73-147. In fourth in fifth place respectively matching cards on the 18th hole today was Caroline Curtis (Richmond, VA 2019) and Madison Moosa (Charlotte, NC 2017) each with rounds of 77-72-149.
The Prep Series Champion this week was Ashley Nguyen (South Riding, VA 2017) with two solids rounds of 76-76-152. The runner-up this week was Hannah Rose Bruxvoort (Chapel Hill, NC 2018) with 79-80-159. In third place one stroke behind second was Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) with 81-79-160. In fourth place matching cards is Janelle “Ellie” Porman (Cramerton, NC 2017) 85-77-162. In fifth place today was Mogie Adamchik (Raleigh, NC 2017) with 84-78-162.
Winning her third tournament this season in the Futures Series was Nicole Adam (Pinehurst, NC 2020) with rounds of 78-81-159. The runner-up was Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022) with rounds of 81-80-161. In third place this weekend matching cards was Sophie Simon (Potomac, MD 2021) with rounds 86-76-162. In fourth place with rounds of 80-82-162 was Hailey Pendleton (Waxhaw, NC 2020). In fifth place matching cards was Shalie Williams (Shawboro, NC 2018) with rounds of 81-82-163.
Congratulations to all of our top-five finishers! The PKBGT will return to action with the Palmetto Classic at USC on March 19-20th.
