Greensboro, N.C. (Sept. 2, 2025) — The start of the 2026 season is just around the corner, and with it, the 17th annual PKBGT Invitational is quickly approaching. Here is everything you need to know about the PKBGT’s premier event, a top-35 event across the country.
What is the PKBGT Invitational?
One of the tour’s longest lasting events, the PKBGT Invitational bolsters some of the country’s best junior golfers and offers a chance for others to prove their mettle in the battle to claim the championship trophy.
The event itself includes a practice round scheduled for the players on Friday, Nov. 14, as well as RecruitPKB College Consultant Brandi Jackson being on-site to aid with any questions, followed by a banquet that evening for players and one guest, with additional reservations available.
The first two rounds of tournament play will commence on Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, Nov. 16, before the field size is reduced to the top-50%. Following the cut, the final round will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16.
Past PKBGT Invitational champions include top amateur players in the country like Emilia Migliaccio, Amanda Sambach, Anna Morgan, Macy Pate, as well as touring professionals including Katherine Perry Hamski, Lucia Polo, & Rachel Kuehn! Join this illustrious list of past champions this fall!

How can I qualify?
While many players have earned their spot in the Invitational based on their performance on the PKBGT in 2025 and their play in PKBGT’s championship events, there are still opportunities to play. If you’re looking to still make it to this year’s event, there are just a few ways left to join the field the first being by earning a spot out of the qualifiers listed below.
The first option is by being a Bell National top finisher at four upcoming national events at the start of our 2026 season:
- October 4-5: Greater Atlanta Girls Classic @ Chapel Hills
- October 11-12: Rocky Mount Girls Classic @ Belmont Lakes
- October 18-19: Middle Atlantic Girls Classic @ Hidden Creek
- November 1-2: Hampton Roads Girls Classic @ Golden Horseshoe
The top-50 of the PKBGT Performance Index at two preselected dates also qualify, one of which is still yet to pass — the first occurred on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and the final check will be on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Players can still aim for this goal by placing well in tournaments leading up to that final date. The movement on the index is based on a variety of factors, ranging from tournament field strength, course rating, scoring differential, divisions played, and more.
You can find the PKBGT Performance Index here.
While the aforementioned methods are the only ways to guarantee entry to the PKBGT Invitational, the final option to attempt to earn entry into the PKBGT Invitational field can not guarantee a player a spot. Class 1 players can submit an application to try earning entry through an At-Large Exemption. This application will be available until Thursday, Oct. 2, with any At-Large selections being announced the following day on Oct. 3.
You can apply through the application page found here.
About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina. The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2025-2026 season will feature over 110 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.
