On the tenth and eleventh of April, the best of the Prep Series will converge on the Peedee for the PKBGT Spring Invitational. This invitation-only competition will serve as the Prep Preview Series Finale and brings an exciting field of elite juniors to the challenging Wachesaw Plantation Club. The event is designed to add to a series of premier, PKBGT championship events hosted each spring featuring numerous ranking benefits to maximize exposure.
ONLY Prep Preview players will receive invitations to the Spring Invitational/Prep Preview Finale. Entries will open for qualified players on Monday, February 17th. Additional players will be invited on Tuesday, March 16th and 17th to complete the field.
About the Prep Preview Division
The Prep Preview Division is the PKBGT’s preparatory division for girls aiming to compete in college and progressing towards 6,000 junior events. Tournaments in the prep preview division vary in distances between 5,600 to 5,900 yards. Players may gain Class 2 status by submitting a tournament resume for approval by the tour committee and can apply/re-apply at any time.
The 2019-2020 Prep Preview schedule includes 12 events, beginning with the PKBGT Regional Invitational last October at Carolina National Golf Club.
How to Qualify?
This event is an INVITATION ONLY event for the Prep Preview division. Players earn entry through the following tiers of entry:
TIER 1 – 10 Champions of a 2020 Prep Preview Series Event between Palmetto Dunes Classic & PKBGT Masters
TIER 2 – Top 30 players on the Prep Preview Series Order of Merit standings at the conclusion of the RocketTour Players Championship on February 17th.
TIER 3 – Top 50 players on the Prep Preview Series Order of Merit standings at the conclusion of the Palmetto Classic @ Furman University GC on March 16th.
TIER 4 – 1 Sponsor Exemption
TIER 5 – Remaining field will be completed from the Spring Invitational Application List. Players must apply for consideration by Tuesday, March 17th at midnight to be considered for one of these spots.
How do I Enter Myself for Consideration if I am not Automatically Eligible?
Players who have not automatically qualified for a spot in the field by Tiers 1 – 3 above should register at the Spring Invitational Application List.
Players MUST HAVE PARTICIPATED in a 2020 Prep Preview event between Palmetto Dunes and the PKBGT Masters to be eligible for selection. These players must apply for consideration by Tuesday, March 17th at midnight to be considered for one of these Group 5 spots. This list will be used to complete the field to the maximum amount of spots available.
